INDICATIONS: Specific prophylaxis & treatment of non-complicated acute UTI caused by sensitive strains of gm +ve & -ve pathogenic organisms. Non-complicated UTI, cystitis & cystourethritis; asymptomatic bacteriuria treatment; UTI in pregnant women; vesical catheter-associated UTI. Prophylaxis due to anatomical &/or function disorders of urinary tract; pelvis prolapse surgery &/or urinary incontinence.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypersensitivity. Anuria, oliguria & worsening of renal function (CrCl <60 mL/min or serum creatinine clinically significantly increased). Acute porphyria. Previous history of cholestatic jaundice/hepatic dysfunction. Pregnancy (38-42 wk gestation, during labor & delivery, or onset of labor) & lactation. Childn <12 yr. Neonate <1 mth.
