-Can be consumed on its own, as an ingredient for recipes, or substituted for rice?This is the quinoa of choice for cold salads.
-Rinse the ? cup of quinoa in cold water and drain.
-Cook in a covered pot with 1 cup of water over high heat. Bring to a boil and decrease heat to maintain a simmer. Cook until quinoa has absorbed all the water (around 10 ? 20 minutes).
-Rest by removing the pot from the heat and leaving it covered for about 5 minutes.
