Symptomatic relief of bronchospasm in obstructive airway diseases eg, bronchial asthma, emphysema &, chronic bronchitis. Hivent Plus Management of chronic reversible airway obstructions eg, asthma &, chronic bronchitis. Patients w/ COPD on regular inhaled bronchodilator who continue to have evidence of bronchospasm &, who require a second bronchodilator.

Hivent soln for nebulization 2.5-5 mg via nebulizer to be repeated up to qid. Hivent DS By wet inhalation 2.5-5 mg, may be repeated up to qid. Severe airway obstruction Up to 40 mg/kg/day under medical supervision. Nebule Adult &, childn Severe bronchospasm &, status asthmaticus Initially 2.5 mg but may be increased to 5 mg, may be repeated up to qid via nebulizer. Hivent Plus Adult Acute attacks 2.5 mL for prompt symptom relief, may increase to 5 mL in severe cases if attack has not been relieved. Maintenance
