Primary or secondary hyperuricemia, uric acid nephropathy. Adjuvant treatment of gout, recurrent uric stone formation. Prophylaxis to prevent tissue deposition, renal calculi or uric acid nephropathy in patients w/ malignancies who are receiving cancer chemotherapy which causes elevated serum uric acid levels.
