Product Usage

In hypertension the usual initial dose is 50mg once daily. The maximum effect is achieved in about 3 to 6 weeks after initiating treatment. The dose may be increased as necessary to 100mg once daily or in 2 divided doses as directed by the physician.

Warnings

Contraindications: Losartan is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to any of the component of the product. It is also contraindicated in pregnancy or if pregnancy is detected losartan should be discontinued immediately.

Special Precaution: Losartan should be used with caution in patients with severe renal artery stenosis.
