Hey, ladies! Do you wanna try the trendy “Halo Eye” look and be the life of the party?

The “Halo Eye” got it’s name from looking like an angel halo in the centre of eyelids. It is also known as “Spotlight Eye”. Let’s learn how to get this hot party look!

Set of eyeshadow and a cream primer on a dressing table

Step 1: Apply eye primer

Firstly, apply eye primer to smooth the surface of your eyelids. Make sure to blend the primer evenly from upper lash line to brow bone. This is a beauty technique to make the eye shadow last longer.

Step 2: Blend out the crease

Use a neutral or light-toned eye shadow colour to cover your whole eyelids. For halo eye makeup, the focal points are the middle spotlight, inner and outer dark corners of lids. Using a light-toned colour can have a big contrast with the shadow corners.

Step 3: Apply eye corner colour

Apply a warm colour to the inner and outer thirds of lids. It is better to choose a darker eye shadow colour than the previous one. Use a fluffy blending brush to blend the darker shade slightly into the crease of inner and outer thirds (but don’t apply on the centre of eyelids!)

Step 4: Apply a light colour to create bright eyelids

The spotlight of halo eye makeup is the center of eyelids. Apply a white or light colour that’s shimmery, metallic, or glittery to brighten the area and make the center stand out. Use a small blending brush to blend the spotlights and darker outer shadows seamlessly.

Step 5: Apply the same light colour to lower lash line

Apply white or the same light eye shadow colour used on the center of the lids to lower lash lines to create bigger and rounded eyes.

Step 6: Apply eyeliner and mascara

Use a black eyeliner to create thin cat eyes. Then, use volumizing and lengthening mascara to bring out your lashes.

That’s it! Now you’ve got the perfect bright and rounded halo eye makeup!
