(1) Acne-prone Skin

If your skin type is acne-prone, you are suitable for using the weightless moisturizers with moisturizing ingredients, such as dimethicone and hyaluronic acid to prevent clogged pores. Avoid applying heavy and thick moisturizer which will increase the burden on your skin.

(2) Dry Skin

If your skin is parched, flakily and itchy, you should look for the moisturizing creams or oils containing rich and moisturizing ingredients like lanolin, shea butter, ceramide, jojoba oil or coconut oil. You can apply a thick layer of moisturizing cream to rescue the dehydrated skin and lock in the moisture effectively. If your skin is dehydrated seriously, you can also add 1-2 drops moisturizing oil into the moisturizing cream.

(3) Oily Skin

Oily skin can better retain skin moisture than other skin types. However, using heavy and rich moisturizer will make your oily skin more greasy and shiny. People with oily skin are recommended to use oil-free, lightweight moisturizing gels or serums which are rich in hyaluronic acid or glycerin to lock in the moisture with a refreshing feeling.

Combination skin is mixed with normal skin type around the cheeks and oily skin type around the forehead and the nose. People with combination skin are suggested to use different types of moisturizers for different areas. You can apply lightweight moisturizing gel to the forehead and the nose.  For the cheeks, chin and jawline, please use moisturizing cream.
