Product Usage

Valproic acid (Depamax) 250 mg / 5 ml syrup is intended for oral administration. For complex partial seizures in adults and children at 10 years of age or older: As monotherapy or adjunctive therapy, it is given at 10 – 15 mg/kg/day up to below 60 mg/kg/day. For simple and complex absence seizures, the recommended initial dose is 15 mg/kg/day up to a maximum of 60 mg/kg/day. Total doses exceeding 250 mg, should be given in divided doses. Reduce dose in elderly patients.
