Treats certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). This medication helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus by decreasing the acid production of the stomach.

Product Usage

Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor. Read the Medication Guide and the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your pharmacist before you start taking esomeprazole and each time you get a refill. Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before meals. For patients with swallowing difficulties; open cap & disperse contents in a glass with 15 mL non-carbonated water. Do not use other liquid. Stir gently & leave for a few min to thicken. Stir again & drink immediately or within 30 min. Do not chew/crush granules. Mixture may also be administered via a nasogastric tube.

Ingredients

Each capsule contains 40mg of Esomeprazole.

Warnings

May decrease absorption of ketoconazole & itraconazole. Increase plasma conc of diazepam; citalopram; imipramine; clomipramine; phenytoin.
