Acute diarrhea: Initially 2 capsules followed by 1 capsule after each loose bowel movement. Max: 8 cap/day. Chronic diarrhea: Initially 2 capsules followed by 1 capsule after each loose bowel movement. Then reduce dose to meet daily requirements; administer as single or in divided doses. Ave. daily maintenance dose: 2-4 cap/day.
Ingredients
Each capsule contains 2mg of Loperamide HCl.
Warnings
Interactions with ritonavir; quinidine; oral desmopressin; itraconazole or ketoconazole; gemfibrozil.
