Proton Pump InhibitorINDICATION: Treatment of duodenal ulcer gastric ulcer H. pylori-associated PUD reflux esophagitis Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. GERD maintenance of healed erosive esophagitis NSAID-associated ulcer acid aspiration.

Product Usage

Dosage: Risek Insta Adult childn (≥18 yr) Short-term treatment of active duodenal ulcer 20 mg for 4 wk. Benign gastric ulcer 40 mg for 4-8 wk. Reduction of risk of upper GI bleeding in critically ill patients Initially 40 mg (oral susp only) followed by 40 mg 6-8 hr later; 40 mg daily thereafter for 14 days. May require additional 4 wk therapy. GERD: Symptomatic GERD (w/ no esophageal erosions) 20 mg for 4 wk. Erosive esophagitis 20 mg for 4-8 wk. May give an additional 4 wk of therapy; if there is recurrence consider 4-8 wk treatment. Maintenance of healing of erosive esophagitis 20 mg. All doses to be taken once daily.ADMINISTRATION: Take on empty stomach. Take 30 min-1 hr before meals. Swallow whole do not chew/crush.
