Product Usage

Adult & adolescent ≥13 yr Acute sinusitis, tonsillopharyngitis & bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis; uncomplicated skin & skin structure infections 250-500 mg 12 hrly for 10 days. Acute otitis media 500 mg 12 hrly for 10 days. Secondary bacterial infections of acute bronchitis 250-500 mg 12 hrly for 5-10 days. Uncomplicated UTI including pyelonephritis 250-500 mg 12 hrly for 7-10 days. Uncomplicated gonorrhea 1,000 mg as a single dose. Early Lyme disease 500 mg 12 hrly for 20 days.
Should be taken with food.

Warnings

Contraindications:Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions:Hypersensitivity to penicillins. Consider diagnosis of Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea (CDAD) in patients who develop diarrhea. Discontinue use if seizure develops. History of GI disease particularly colitis. Monitor prothrombin time. Transient Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction. Porphyria; renal & hepatic impairment. Overgrowth of nonsusceptible organism (prolonged or repeated use). May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Elderly.
