Description
This medicine contains Hyoscine-N-Butylbromide. It is an anticholinergic agent which relaxes the smooth muscle of gastrointestinal, biliary and urinary (parenteral formulation) tracts. It is believed to act predominantly at the parasympathetic ganglia in the walls of the viscera of these organs. Hyoscine has antimuscarinic effect but, in contrast to atropine, it has a depressant effect on the Central Nervous System. Hyoscine is used in the prevention and control of motion sickness, in visceral spasms, and as cycloplegic and mydriatic.
